Hi friends! This past week we had 5 days straight of absolute downpouring rain, so we pretty much stayed cooped up in the boat. Aside from that, we had a rollercoaster of emotions regarding our food source. Our stove broke so we ordered a BBQ. While we waited for that to arrive, we ate instant meals and soupy, undercooked pasta. It finally got here on Saturday and we were so excited to be able to cook and eat meat! Well, that lasted three days and then this morning, we ran out of propane. The closest place to get propane is in town, which is either a 4 hour walk or a $40 hour bus ride... So we had to go back to Cup of Noodles and bread for dinner. We are still waiting on our boat to get worked on. We are both a little frustrated at the moment, because we are pretty much done with our portion of the boat. All we need now is for the boat yard to do the bottom job, and we're are currently unable to do it ourselves because we are located too close to the marina restaurant. We need them to move our boat over to the "working side" so we are able to start sanding. Sommer was supposed to be moved over last Monday, and it's now Tuesday and we haven't moved. Travis talked to them today and now they are saying next Monday... Hopefully that is the case. We just can't wait to get in the water already! As for the rest of life, all is well here. We are getting slightly more immune to the regular mosquito bites, so that's a good sign. We met some locals and are having them patch up our bimini for us, and we have others on the search for a boom- since ours has snapped in half. It continues to amaze me how close knit this entire island is! It seems like everyone knows everyone, and once you're in the "in" circle, everyone knows you. It's a slow pace over here, but we're doing our best to enjoy every day for what it is. XO!
