The first picture above is from one of our last nights in Oregon. We spent it with my family – mostly nieces and nephews who I am going to miss dearly. I’ve left Oregon several times before but this trip feels different. Most of the time I move to places that are in driving range back, this trip though is going to be to distant islands and funds are going to be extremely limited. It’s sad knowing it may be years before I see my family again but it’s going to force me to utilize FaceTime to keep in touch. I want to make sure they don’t forget who I am, that is my biggest concern. I know the younger ones are going to be the hardest and with spotty WiFi and service, it’s going to be a serious challenge. But we will do our very best.
The second picture is of our last day in Utah. We were able to spend a couple weeks with Meagan’s family, and on this day we took a drive up the canyon to enjoy the colors of fall leaves while we could! Her family will be greatly missed as well. We want everyone to know that you’re in our hearts and on our minds. We love you and miss you already!
